Anesthetic gas evaporators are devices that are attached to anesthetic machines which helps in delivering a given concentration of volatile anesthetic agent to the patient. The concentration of vapor is regularly monitored and adjusted accordingly by altering fresh gas flow through the vaporizer. By directly injecting the vapor to the fresh gas flow without any split which are done by measured flow gas evaporators
The latest anesthesia gas evaporators are flow and temperature compensated, enables direct reading, calibrated concentration of agents, dial controlled and are not effected by positive pressure ventilation when compared to the conventional anesthesia gas evaporators. The safety features in anesthesia gas evaporators include an anti-spill, a select-a-tec mechanism and a specific vaporizer filling device. Advanced anesthesia gas evaporators are controlled by a central processing unit that is present in the anesthetic machine.
