Empower Yourself and Your Community: Join the Health Opportunity Pilot (HOP) Event
The Health Opportunity Pilot (HOP) initiative, a cornerstone of the Statewide Health Equity Initiative aimed at enhancing community health and well-being, invites the residents of South Fulton County to the empowering event, "Empower Yourself and Your Community!" Scheduled for 8-10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 29, at The Atlanta Community Food Bank (3400 North Desert Drive, East Point, GA 30344), this forum is not just an event-it's a movement towards health equity.
As the keynote speaker, The Honorable Deana Holiday Ingraham, the 34th Mayor of East Point, will share her invaluable insights and experiences in spearheading the "Healthy Point" initiative, a model for community-led health improvement. Attendees will learn about the significant impact of HOP in supporting ongoing COVID-19 responses and recovery efforts, reducing the pandemic's social and economic impacts on vulnerable populations and working towards equitable health opportunities for all. The event promises an engaging 'Speed Community Action Team (CAT) activity,' offering a glimpse into the collaborative efforts that drive community improvement.
