Fort Dodge Radio announces that it has launched a new Alexa skill so listeners can easily play the station on devices such as the Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus, or any other Alexa enabled device.

To listen to Fort Dodge Radio with an Alexa device, the Fort Dodge Radio Alexa Skill needs to be enabled before the skill will be recognized by the device.

Once enabled, Fort Dodge Radio's stream can be played by using the command "Alexa, play Fort Dodge Radio".

Other commands with the Fort Dodge Radio Alexa skill include pause, resume, and stop. Listeners can also use alternatives to the "play" command such as "open Fort Dodge Radio", "start Fort Dodge Radio", or "launch Fort Dodge Radio". Fort Dodge Radio is a commercial Internet radio station streaming from Fort Dodge, Iowa. The station streams an all-music format with a mix of the MTV '80s era with classic rock and pop hits of the '70s.

Locally produced shows by Fort Dodge Radio include the Indie Music Room hosted by Heather Kelly. The Indie Music Room features interviews with independent artists and they talk about writing, recording, and performing their original music.

Fort Dodge Radio was created by Fort Dodge native Bill Grady. Local radio stations Bill managed during his broadcast career include KRIT-FM, KVFD-AM, and KUEL-FM.
