When I was growing up, my grandmother used to cook some of the best peanut brittle I had ever eaten. One day, I asked her to show me how she made it. She did, but she made me promise to never tell anyone the secret, and I have not told anyone, even today. As I got older, I made peanut brittle for people at church and birthdays and holidays for people at work. Overwhelmingly, everyone would tell me how amazing the brittle was and how I should sell it.

Years went by and the same feedback over and over. This is the best brittle I have ever had; you should sell it. So, my Business Partner Patrick Taylor and I decided to open Granny's Confections and do exactly that. In 2014 I opened a small 300 square foot location in Hartland Michigan. We worked hard telling customers about us and gaining their trust and loyalty.

After two years of hard work and handmaking every order of brittle, we relocated to a 1,200 square foot location, in Howell Michigan were we grew our customer base by word of mouth. Customers sharing their experiences about us with their friends and family. We spent a lot of time at community events sampling our products and ensuring people knew who we were.

Then, in 2020, purchased a 1,700 square foot location in Howell Michigan where we have currently have store front and handmake very order of our amazing brittle. This location is close to Downtown Howell and is centrally located with easy access to the interstate. We continue to work with customers and organizations to share the word about us and our award winning brittle.

We handmake and hand pack every order of our amazing brittle to ensure the quality. Granny told me there are three very important rules and we follow them every single day: 1. Never cut corners. 2. Use quality ingredients. 3. Put love in everything you do. We have eight amazing flavors of our handmade brittle including peanut brittle, pecan brittle, cashew brittle, jalapeno peanut brittle, coconut brittle, almond brittle, nutless (no nut) brittle, and habanero jalapeno peanut brittle.
