VANCOUVER, CANADA (December 23, 2022) - "Every year, thousands of holiday celebrations are derailed because of an addicted loved one. What should be a time of joy and connection ends up as days filled with stress, chaos and heartache due to someone in active addiction. But it doesn't have to be this way," says Vancouver, Canada Addictions Counsellor Candace Plattor.

While no one can control what an addicted loved one does, we each have a say about how they are expected to present themselves while in our homes. But people are confused about how exactly they need to deal with the situation and many merely cross their fingers and hope for the best, which is always doomed to fail.
