IPEVO's Remote Teaching App--iDocCam--Downloaded Over 20,000 Times Within One Week of Free Use
The leader in educational technology, IPEVO, today announced that its latest app--iDocCam--has been downloaded over 20,000 times within one week of free use. Originally at $19.99, it is now free to use through April 30th.
iDocCam is an app that helps teachers transit to remote teaching by allowing them to use their smartphones' cameras as a document camera to capture live instructions or physical materials and projecting them onto a big screen, as well as wirelessly displaying them on a Mac or Windows PC with IPEVO's Visualizer software.
When used in conjunction with Visualizer software, teachers can utilize the available features to record videos, set up live broadcasts, and so on. Teachers can even deliver live "face-to-face" online lessons by using the screen sharing feature of third-party video conferencing software such as Google Meet, Skype, and GoToMeeting to share the live feed from Visualizer while in an online meeting with their students.

Aside from using iDocCam with Visualizer software, iPhone users have the choice to AirPlay the live images captured by their phones' cameras in iDocCam to an external display for wireless large-screen projection. Or, they can also connect their iPhones to an external display for large-screen projection via HDMI/VGA. Either way, the external display will function as an extended screen for projecting the live images.
In face of the surge in remote teaching during this unprecedented period, IPEVO is committed to providing resources for creating an effective remote teaching environment.
