Jeremy Thomas Named College Unit Director at Northwestern Mutual-Chesterfield
Jeremy Thomas has been named College Unit Director for Northwestern Mutual and its Chesterfield, MO office.
As a College Unit Director, he will coach and lead a team of college financial representatives who are participating in the firm's nationally top-rated internship program. Thomas will continue to serve as a financial representative.
Thomas joined the Northwestern Mutual-Clayton network office and its Chesterfield location in 2021 after a career in the food services industry. He has quickly excelled earning the PACESETTER award in 2021. Pacesetter honors financial advisors who set 40 clients on the path to achieving financial security during their first six months in the business through the issuance of life, disability and long term care insurance policies, as well as meeting additional thresholds of performance.
"We are very excited that Jeremy has joined our leadership team and is co-leading our internship program," said Jim Zara, Managing Director of Northwestern Mutual-Chesterfield. "Northwestern Mutual has a very rich history with this program and the vast majority of company leaders began their career there. Jeremy is extremely talented and committed, and is highly qualified to help students explore and develop a career in financial services."
Douglas Stockton, Growth and Development Director with Northwestern Mutual and a mentor to Thomas, added, "While relatively new to our firm, Jeremy has demonstrated his natural propensity for putting others before himself. Jeremy's commitment to helping those around him grow and develop is contagious. His energy and presence that he routinely brings to the office is second to none, and will be a real benefit as he moves into a leadership capacity."
A 2013 graduate of Webster University in St. Louis, Thomas received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communications. He was a member of the school's debate team. He is also a highly skilled chess player.
Thomas currently resides in the Lafayette Square area of St. Louis.
