Modular infusion pump tester reduces „down time“
Nuremberg, June 29, 2018 : GOSSEN METRAWATT, supplier of measuring and testing technology, presents the SECULIFE IFPRO, a new modular analysis system for infusion pumps.
The high-precision, easy-to-use system has full touchscreen control of all processes without the use of old-fashioned keys and buttons. The 7" colour touch screen display can be infinitely adjusted for optimum operation and readability.
The highlight of the SECULIFE IFPRO is the new, innovative, patent-pending design. The SECULIFE IFPRO uses a pressure based flow measurement system. It is not affected by bubbles that may be in the fluid path. In addition, the pressure sensor is made of industrial stainless steel. This ensures a long service life in contact with liquids. Other analyzers use a pump that must rotate to control the flow of the incoming liquid. The SECULIFE IFPRO has a patent-pending double cylinder pump that allows uniform flow measurement without the interruption and intermittent draining required by older technologies. This enables a more realistic flow path for the infusion device under test and thus more accurate measured values. In addition, the independent stepper motor control of the ceramic valve allows not only quieter operation, but also a bidirectional, driven fluid flow.
To ensure continuous use, the SECULIFE IFPRO has interchangeable flow modules. Since the calibration is stored in the flow module, it is not necessary to send in the entire SECULIFE IFPRO for calibration, only the module. In addition, the system can be purchased with a single flow module. Further flow modules can be added at any time.
The SECULIFE IFPRO not only measures the occlusion pressure and the occlusion time, but also the amount of fluid released by the infusion pump during the occlusion test.
Programmable sequences can be created to guide the operator through pre-configured test procedures.
Test results can be saved locally in PDF format without the need for a PC.
For remote control and monitoring, the SECULIFE IFPRO screen can be projected directly onto your PC and mouse/keyboard inputs can be made remotely.
The 32 GB built-in memory allows thousands of test data to be stored. In addition, test results can be stored on a shared network drive or USB stick.
