Myanmar Express Logistics Market is Expected to Cross USD 30 Million by 2023: Ken Research

The major link for freight transport is expected to remain as the North-South axis (Yangon–Mandalay) however a new link especially for trade cargoes will be developed and upgraded to connect Yangon or Bago with the cross-border facilities being developed along the Thai border.

Boost in Perishables Sector to Drive Cold Chain Market: The thriving Food and Beverage industry in Myanmar will be the leading growth factor for growth of cold chain in the country. By 2030, F&B is expected to account for 37% of total household spending in Myanmar. Meat and seafood are the leading category of perishables, accounting for 16.4% and 15.9% respectively of expenditure on food and drinks. Fruits and vegetables account for 6.2% of the expenditure

New Government Regulations: As of now only the people of Yangon and Mandalay are actively shopping online, more so because delivery is easier in these regions. As the government is drafting new laws pertaining to telecommunications, e-commerce and cyber security people in other regions will also become comfortable with online shopping.
