The 7th Go Digital Energy Annual Conference in Amsterdam will gather major energy and digital players of the energy sector

On the 31st of May - 1st of June, Shell, Equinor, bp, Saudi Aramco, Schlumberger, Petronas, Cognite and others will gather in Amsterdam at the 7th Go Digital Energy Annual Conference and discuss the role of digitalisation in the energy sector and how digital solutions could help the industry navigate energy transition while facing an energy crisis.

According to the IEA, digitalisation is already improving the safety, productivity, accessibility, and sustainability of energy systems. And between 2022 and 2027, Europe is set to double the amount of renewable power capacity added to its grid in the previous five years, allowing the EU to have a long-term decarbonisation plan.

However, to withstand this energy crisis, companies are also trying to maximise operational efficiency and move towards digitalisation faster. That's why we have seen the recent increase in partnerships and even the creation of digital technology companies, as Saudi Aramco recently presented.

Such news is quite timely as the 7th Go Digital Energy conference will gather the biggest energy companies and technology companies and speakers such as:

- Esam Al Sayid, Digital Transformation strategy Investments & Growth, Saudi Aramco will cover the Digital Transformation Strategy of Saudi Aramco and their smart sustainability Program.
- Trygve Randen, Director, Digital Subsurface Solutions at Schlumberger will present what Slb is doing regarding data sharing and OSDU platform.
- Jeroen Scheer, Leader Digital & IT Strategy, Architecture & Delivery - Renewable Energy (CTO / CDO) and Shell and shed light on the digital roadmap of Shell, what technologies and projects they are creating and which new technologies they want to develop in the future.
- Paula Doyle, CDO at Aker BP, will talk about the big challenge of the Energy Trilemma and how Aker BP is making sure their energy is sustainable, affordable and secure in such unstable times. Paula's colleague Anne Lisæth Schøyen, Vice President Data Operations will as well go through what Aker BP's DataOps journey looked like and what are their aspirations for the future.
- Francois Haynes, Vice President Sales Digital Services at TechnipEnergies, will go through why operational excellence is important and what Technip Energies is doing to ensure that for their processes and help their clients to improve performance and efficiency of operations.
- Petteri Vainikka, VP of Marketing at Cognite​, will tell more about the strategy and reporting methods that Cognite is choosing to work with emissions, and whether we should move into development of new technologies before understanding how to deal with the emissions first.
