The Sewing Studio Elevates Its Omnichannel System with ConnectPOS
ConnectPOS, the high-speed Point of Sale software for Magento, has released a new case study with The Sewing Studio, one of the largest sewing machines dealers in UK.
The Sewing Studio put emphasis on providing excellent services across all the sales channels. When they migrated their website to Magento 2 for a better digital experience, it became an urgent need to find an integrated POS system that can connect their flagship showroom in Redruth, Cornwall to their new web store.
ConnectPOS is compatible with the new Magento website, even when The Sewing Studio upgraded it once again from Magento 2.1 to Magento 2.2. It synchronizes the online database, including products and customers in real time from Magento to POS, creating consistency for the sales channels.
In addition, the web-based app of ConnectPOS runs on the browsers of PCs and works with a wide range of hardware peripherals, so The Sewing Studio can continue using the existing devices they have at the showroom, which saved them a substantial amount of setup cost.
Besides core features of Magento, The Sewing Studio takes a step further in completing their omnichannel system by streaming multi-warehouse inventory instantly between the web store and POS. They know which stock they have at which warehouse directly in POS, which saves time for shop operators when they work at the tills.
Reward Points and Gift Cards are exemplary functions that The Sewing Studio applies the omnichannel approaches, too. Customers now can earn and spend points online and offline. The same goes with Gift Cards: they can buy a gift card online and redeem it at the showroom and vice versa.
