The Yangtze Daily reports that the "New Year Shopping, Jiang'an GO" 2025 Spring Festival consumption season event in Jiang'an District has achieved a successful start. On February 4th, the Yangtze Daily learned from Jiang'an District that during the Spring Festival holiday, the number of visitors to the historical and cultural areas of Hankou, including the Wuhan Tianyi characteristic tourism street, Jiqing Folk Custom Street, and Li Huangpi Road Historical and Cultural Street, increased significantly. The event drove over 100 million yuan in consumption, among which Li Huangpi Road Historical and Cultural Street received 992,000 tourists.
To promote the integrated development of business, culture and tourism, Jiang'an District organized various business districts and streets to carry out a series of rich and colorful New Year-themed activities. Wuhan Tianyi combined the city flower "plum blossom" to launch the "Newly Fortunate Snake" sculpture, attracting citizens to take photos and check-in. Coupled with New Year promotion activities, it gathered a large number of people and ushered in a New Year consumption boom.
Xian'anfang held the "Why Not Meet" Intangible Cultural Heritage Fair, where intangible cultural heritages from Hubei, Hunan and Yunnan provinces entered the old neighborhood. On Jiqing Street, folk activities such as "Lotus Boat", "Five Shrimp Playing with Catfish", lantern riddles, dragon dance and gongs and drums were performed one after another. Time-honored intangible cultural heritage food brands like Caoxiangtai and Laotongcheng also held continuous activities.
The "Follow the Spring Festival Gala to Explore Wuhan New Year's Check-in at Jiang'an" event has turned the locations featured in the Spring Festival Gala, such as Bagong House, Shengli Street, and Li Huangpi Road, into popular check-in spots, transforming the popularity of the gala into consumer traffic. Every morning, the front of Bagong House is crowded with tourists who have come to visit. They gather in front of the "New Year's Check-in at Jiang'an" postcard check-in device to capture their New Year's moments.
Since January 23rd, Jiang'an District has been distributing "Happy Shopping Jiang'an" Spring Festival consumption vouchers to key commercial districts and streets such as Wuhan Tianyi, Wuhan Wanda Plaza, and Everbright Mall Jinqiao Everbright. The vouchers offer discounts of 100 yuan off for every 300 yuan spent and 15 yuan off for every 30 yuan spent, injecting real cash to stimulate consumption vitality.
The business district is booming and the streets are bustling. During the Spring Festival holiday, the total number of visitors to the Hankou Historical and Cultural Area (a 3A-level scenic spot) was approximately 3.3572 million, an increase of 52% compared to the previous year. Among them, the number of visitors to the Wuhan Tiandi characteristic tourism street increased by 28% year-on-year, the number of visitors to the Jiqing Folk Custom Street increased by 118% year-on-year, and the number of visitors to the Li Huangpi Road Historical and Cultural Street increased by 119% year-on-year. In addition, popular hotels such as Bagongdi and Wuhan Jiangtan World Trade FANXING maintained a 100% occupancy rate for several consecutive days.
